New Judge Appointed to SLO Superior Court (San Luis Obispo Tribune)
Linda D. Hurst has been appointed a judge in San Luis Obispo County Superior Court.
Hurst, 56, fills a vacancy created by conversion of a court commissioner position on Jan. 1, 2008.
A San Luis Obispo resident, Hurst has served since 2003 as a partner for Hall Hieatt & Connely.
Prior to that, she was an attorney in private practice, as well as an associate for Smith, Helenius & Hayes and Merrill, Thiessen and Gagen.
Hurst earned a master of laws degree from Golden Gate University, a Juris Doctorate degree from Western State University College of the Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis.
A Republican, Hurst was appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
