The "Uber Effect" – How the Requirements for Independent Contractor Have Drastically Changed and What’s Driving This
April MCLE: This program will cover why there has been a trend toward imposing tougher requirements for Independent Contractor classifications, explain what the new test requires for an Independent Contractor after the California Supreme Court’s decision in Dynamex, and highlight the pros and cons of the Independent Contractor classification for both the company and the contractor.

OUR SPEAKERS:
Kathryn Eppright is a partner with Andre, Morris & Buttery. She has been practicing law for 25 years and specializes in employment litigation and counseling and workplace investigations.
Lisa Sperow is the Executive Director of the Cal Poly Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. After law school, Lisa clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She then entered the Honors Program for the United States Department of Justice where she served as a trial lawyer in the Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch before returning to the Central Coast to teach at Cal Poly.
