OUR SPEAKER:
Nicole Norris
Nicole's legal practice focuses on corporate counsel, intellectual property and complex commercial litigation. Before moving to SLO, Nicole spent 11 years in "big law" serving as senior litigation counsel to a range of high-tech industries, including thermo-nuclear engineering, computer sciences, and pharmaceuticals. In her more recent role as in-house counsel, Nicole applies her litigation lens to advise her company on the best ways to position for, and importantly avoid, litigation in all areas of corporate legal matters, including protection and enforcement of global IP portfolios, licensing/sales/distribution contracts, corporate compliance, human resource matters, and keeping up with and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Nicole also runs a solo practice in which she provides the same kind of advice to smaller businesses.
