December Ethics MCLE: Join us for our annual ethics program which will examine a selection of recent cases as well as ethics opinions issued by the State Bar of California Committee on Professional Responsibility and discuss important takeaways for your legal practice.
The Women Lawyers Association of San Luis Obispo County is a California State Bar approved MCLE provider. This program qualifies for one (1.0) hour of Legal Ethics MCLE participatory credit. Please Join Us in Person!

OUR SPEAKERS:
CARRIE WINTERS
Carrie Winters joined the Stein-Conaway Law Firm as an associate attorney in late October 2024, where she focuses on providing excellent criminal defense representation to her clients. Carrie has been a trial attorney for all 19 years of her legal career, 15 of which have been here in San Luis Obispo County. During her career, she has worked as a public defender, juvenile dependency attorney, and prosecutor. As a bonus to her practice, she assists people who are seeking their Italian citizenship by helping to obtain California court orders when vital records necessary for their applications do not exist or have data discrepancies.
Carrie also teaches Remedies at San Luis Obispo College of Law, is the Atascadero High School Mock Trial attorney coach, and is the Treasurer of the Central Coast Motorcycle Association – an organization that helps maintain the dirt bike trails in the Los Padres National Forest.
AMY McDONALD
Amy McDonald is a recent graduate of the San Luis Obispo College of Law. She is originally from the Pacific Northwest but has called the Central Coast home for about 11 years. She currently works for SLO Legal Assistance Foundation as a Staff Attorney where she handles all the domestic violence and custody cases. She enjoys helping clients in need and giving back to the community through her role at SLOLAF.
GRACE READY
Grace Ready grew up in the beautiful community of San Luis Obispo and earned her undergraduate degree at Cal Poly where she developed a strong foundation for her legal career. After graduating from Santa Clara University School of Law, she returned to the Central Coast. Currently, Grace is an associate (to be) at Farmer & Ready where she focuses on Civil Litigation and Real Estate law. Outside of her legal practice, Grace volunteers her time with Jack’s Helping Hand.
